I have recently negotiated a deal with McGraw Hill to have a series of articles
that I use in my teaching published through a service called "Custom Publishing"
This is a branch of their textbook service, and was designed to steal some of
Kinko's thunder. They publish your selections, will obtain permissions, reformat
the articles, can do lots of interseting things with photographs, etc. The serv-
ice is legal, but slower than Kinko's. They also require, as far as I know, a
minimum of 300 copies per year. It is more expensive than Kinko's, but it is
legal, and possible. In the Midwest, the Representative is named Jon Earl, and
his address is c/o McGraw-Hill Book Co. 16872 Honeysuckle Lane. Eden Prairie, MN
55346. I bet he is very happy with the court's decision! Good luck.
