The Department of Communication at Georgia State  University in Atlanta 
anticipates full-  and half-time visiting instructor positions (non-tenure track) 
for the 2008-2009  academic year (effective August 2008) to teach courses in 
Journalism  (including courses in newswriting,  mass communication research, 
public 
relations, and telecommunications production), Film (including courses in 
cinema studies, history, theory,  media studies, and international film), Speech 
(including courses in persuasion, interpersonal 
communication, communication & conflict, and others connected to the speech 
communication field), and  Theatre (including courses in acting, performance, 
and theater history).  Applicants must possess a Master’s Degree, a record of 
effective teaching  and record of scholarly achievement commensurate with state 
of candidate’s  career. Applicants must include curriculum vitae, 3 letters 
of reference, and  evidence of teaching effectiveness.  The academic year 
salary is $27,500 for full time and $13,500 for half  time, and both full- and 
half-time positions attach to a full benefits  package.  Submit applications to
