Matt --

I may be in a minority, but I liked Smith's "Clerks", but really feel
he's a "one hit wonder".

Judging from his commentary track on the laserdisk version of the film
and his "duh" attitude, it just doesn't seem that he's taking filmmaking
seriously -- either as an artform or even as a business.

I compare "Clerks" to alot of other independent films that seem to
capture the spirit or mood of their times, often unintentionally.
