Hey Folks-
In reference to the recent posting on sites open for tours, etc from film
and TV, I recently had the pleasure of spending four nights in New Orleans,
housed in The Columns, an 1880s Victorian mansion used in the Louis Malle
film *Pretty Baby* (the bordello scenes were shot inside the hotel) and a Clint
Eastwood/Genvieve Bujold detective film whose title eludes me at the moment.
New Orleans has many places famous from film and TV that are available for
touring at very reasonable rates (my fiancee and I stayed in The Columns for
$60/night, the highest priced rooms go for $125 - and the place is right on St.
Charles near a trolley stop, so you can ride all over town for $10 over three
days). The Columns is really spectacular - I plan to stay there the next time
I'm in the Big Easy. Best regards - JC
