According to Katz's "Film Encyclopedia":
"Al(bert) Christie was born in Ontario in 1886 and died in 1951.
Began his film career in 1909, working in various capacities for the Nestor
company. ..It was in the comedy field that he would later make his name. He
directed numerous comedy shorts for Nestor, then Universal...By mid-1916, he
had set up his own production company - a virtual laugh factory...Next to
Mack Sennett and Hal Roach, he was the most prolific and best-known producer
of comedy shorts in the silent era. He continued producing through the late
'30's, mainly in the service of Columbia and Educational."
The book goes on to list many, many films, unfortunately without casts.
There is no listing for Faye Tincher. To research her, you would have to go
to primary sources at a large metropolitan library.
By the way, in my opinion, Katz's "Film Encyclopedia" is the most reliable
compendium of its kind. It is well worth the price of purchase.
