There's always "that darn legality factory."  It protects all of us, not
just the author of RESERVOIR DOGS.  Anything you write/paint/create is
protected by United States Copyright Law, as soon as it is created.
 
No one has any right to take (steal?) another person's intellectual
property.  Even students.  Or faculty.
