For the upcoming edition of the peer-reviewed journal *Short Film Studies *
(14.2)*,* in addition to the *ongoing open Call for Papers* that welcomes
submissions that reflect your critical and scholarly interests, manuscripts
are invited that focus on the *issue's featured auteur, *the legendary and
acclaimed *Jenni Olson*. A force in queer independent cinema as a
filmmaker, historian, curator, and archivist, Olson’s shorts include *575
Castro St. *(2009); the parody *Levi’s 501s Commercial *(1991); and *Blue

Papers that address the issue’s *featured theme* - LGBTQ+ short filmmakers
and/or films/media – also are welcome.

Please send a brief abstract of 50-to-75-words along with a brief
biographical statement to the editor [log in to unmask]

Deadline for full submissions (14.2): *10 May 2024*

Length of manuscripts: 1500 to 4000 words
