Call for Entries
 
20th annual  National Short Film & Video Competition
Deadline: Monday, March 2, 1998.
 
Organized by the USA Film Festival, the National Short Film and Video
Copetition is a major showcase for new and significant American work.
Entries, which must be under 60 minutes in length, will be judged by
a nationally-renowned, four member Jury of Filmmakers, critics and
scholars, who will award cash prizes based on originality of concept,
style and technical execution.
 
Professional and non-professional film and video makers may enter.
However, all entries must be submitted in the competed from in which
they will be judged. The awards presentation and screening of
award-winners will take place in Dalla during the 28th annual USA
Film Festival, April 16-23, 1998.

Fiction: First Place, $1,000
Non-fiction:  First Place, $1,000
Animation:  First Place, $1,000
Experimental:  First Place, $1,000
The Family Award, $500
The Texas Award, $500
The Student Award, $500
Music Video/Film Award, $500
Advertising/Promotional Award
4 Special Jury Awards, $250 each
