The 1948 Supreme Court decision divesting the Hollywood studios of theatre
holding is covered by most standard histories of the studio system. There is
an essay by Ernest Borneman specicifically covering the history of the
anti-trust case in Tino Balio's THE AMERICAN FILM INDUSTRY (revised edition).
