EXTENDED CALL FOR PAPERS--LFA 2004   In conjunction with the Film and
History League, the Literature/Film Association announces that the
deadline for proposals (300-500 words) for LFA 2004 has been extended
until September 15, 2004.  Our topic is "War and Conflict in Literature
and Film," and the conference will take place on November 11-14 at
Dallas, TX.  Questions and proposals should be sent by email or email
attachment to David Kranz, Program Chair, at [log in to unmask], with
copies to Jim Welsh at [log in to unmask] and Peter Lev at
[log in to unmask]  Snail mail to Kranz at Dept. of English, Dickinson
College, Carlisle, PA 17013 will also be welcomed.

Featured speakers at the conference include Adrian Cronauer, Lawrence
Suid, Frank Thompson, and Jeanine Basinger.

LFA already has sessions planned on such topics as adaptations,
documentaries, WW2 films, and  Vietnam films, but papers on those and
many other topics related to the conference theme are still encouraged.
