CALL FOR PAPERS:  FILM ADAPTATION

Southwest/Texas Popular Culture/American Culture Associations
Annual Meeting
Albuquerque, New Mexico  Sheraton Old Town Hotel
March 7-11, 2001
Proposal Deadline: November 15, 2000

Abstracts and proposals are currently being accepted for the Film Adaptation
area of the 2001 SW/TX PCA/ACA conference, which will be held once again in
Albuquerque.  Last year's conference was an unqualified success, and we'd
love to have you join us for another fabulous week in the southwest!

Papers on any aspect of film adaptation are welcome.  Presentations will be
20 minutes in length, and AV equipment will be made available (use of which
is encouraged).

Topics include (but are not limited to) films based on:

Short stories
Novels
Nonfiction
Drama (excluding Shakespeare)
Film-to-film adaptations
American film adaptations
British film adaptations
World film adaptations
Film adaptation theories
