On 5/17/96, Jenny Nyberg inquired about snow globes on the screen.
 
A 3-D computer-animated short called KNICK-KNACK by John Lasseter of PIXAR
films (the folks who did TOY STORY for Disney) takes place  mostly inside a
snow globe as the snowman inside it tries to get out to visit another
souvenir consisting of a beach scene.
