Console-ing Passions: Television, Video, and Feminism
4th Annual Conference

April 6-9, 1995
 
Console-ing Passions welcomes paper, panel, or workshop proposals that
foreground questions of sexual and cultural differences.  Possible areas
include feminist perspectives on TV and:  queer theory; African American
studies; Latina cultures; Native American studies; Asian studies; audiences
and ethnography; video art & independent video; constructions of nationality,
ethnicity, race, and sexuality; global issues; media pedagogy; children's
media culture.
 
All proposals will be blind refereed.  Console-ing Passions reserves first
rights for paper publication and can only accept proposals for papers that
are not being presented at other media conferences (e.g., Society for Cinema
Studies, Speech Communications Association).
 
Please send ONLY 250 word proposals on blank paper with a cover sheet
identifying name and complete address (including fax, phone, and e-mail when
appropriate) to:
