The Harry Ransom Center, an internationally renowned humanities research
library and museum at The University of Texas at Austin, annually awards
over 50 fellowships to support research projects in all areas of the
humanities. Each year, the Robert De Niro Endowed Fund, Warren Skaaren
Film Research Endowment, and Filmscript Acquisitions Endowment fund a
number of projects focusing on the Center's film collections.

The Center's film collections include the papers of producers David O.
Selznick and Lewis Allen, actors Gloria Swanson and Robert De Niro,
screenwriters Ernest Lehman and Paul Schrader, acting teacher Stella Adler,
special effects master Norman Dawn, and the Interstate Theatre Circuit,
among others. For more information about the Center's film collections,
visit <http://budurl.com/bpdk>http://budurl.com/bpdk .

The fellowships range from one to three months, with stipends of $3,000 per
month. Also available are $1,200 to $1,700 travel stipends and
dissertation fellowships with a $1,500 stipend. During the fellowship,
scholars will work on-site in the Center's collections in Austin,
TX. Austin is home to a thriving film community including the Austin Film
Festival, Austin Film Society, and the South by Southwest Film Conference
and Festival.

Complete applications for the 2011-2012 Research Fellowships in the
Humanities must be received by February 1, 2011. More information about
the fellowships and complete application instructions are available online
