I looked at the book and was going to use it as part of a core course in
film history that's designed to provide a bridge between intro and the
upper division courses. What I liked about the book is that it provides
a good introduction to film theory in language and a format that 1st and
2nd year students could easily understand. I got an examination copy
from Routledge pretty quickly.
