Oops -- I knew it was a bad idea to post something from memory three days
before my thesis deadline.
 
The Atom Egoyan film which offers a reversal of the usual adoption pattern is
NEXT OF KIN, not FAMILY VIEWING. The latter is also by Egoyan but has more to
do with the private pornographic habits and relationship difficulties of a
middle-aged man. Come to think of it, the son in that movie would probably
*like* to be adopted.
