The following posting from POSTMODERN CULTURE, the on-line journal,
lists many 1990-91 books    dealing with postmodernism. Several of
these releases deal with film and/or TV.
 
I bounce this over to SCREEN-L asa way of inaugurating a general
discussion of postmodernism--if, indeed, the list is interested.
 
And to start things off in the most general way possible I'll pose
this question:  Have SCREEN-L subscribers found "postmodernism" a
useful concept for their work in teaching, theorizing or studying
film and/or television?

If you would like to propose a review of one or more of the books
listed below, please send a note to Elaine Orr, book-review
editor, at ENOEG@NCSUVM (Bitnet) or [log in to unmask]
(Internet) explaining your qualifications and experience in the
subject area.  If you would like to propose a review of a book
which does not appear below, please follow the same procedure.
Book reviews of 1,000 to 3,000 words in length are published as a
regular feature in each issue of _Postmodern Culture_.  The next
issue will appear at the end of May, 1991.
