ROSEBUD a discussion list for film students

List Owner- Bert Deivert ([log in to unmask])

DECLARATION OF PRINCIPLES (abbreviated...)
The film studies list for students. This list was started for film students
at the University of Karlstad, Sweden and is open to anyone presently
engaged in the academic study and/or artistic production of film. The aim
of the list is to expose film students to peers from other countries and
thereby enrich the learning experience and cultural exchange so important
in understanding film and media from other cultures. Film instructors are
also welcome to join the list, but remember this is a student forum.

The discussion of analysis, writing, and production of film and television
is the main concern of the list. Tips on films and directors suitable for
particular areas of study, literature, research, and anything else
concerned with film studies is encouraged. This list is NOT a general film
discussion list for the latest mainstream hits. This is not to say that
such things shouldn't be discussed, but discourse in a broader perspective
is the intended emphasis. There are a number of other lists and newsgroups
around for just hanging out and discussing the latest movies.
