I think you are referring to FIRST YANK IN TOKYO (RKO 1945) which was the
first feature drama to incorporate A-bomb footage immediately after
WWII.  The plot was altered after news of the A-bomb so that the hero was
spying to obtain nuclear information, just as THE HOUSE ON 92ND STREET
made their Nazi spies chase 'the secret of the atomic bomb' when they
released the completed movie only six weeks after VJ Day.
