Two other films that may be of interest are Anthony Minghella's adaptation of Patricia Highsmith's novel THE TALENTED MR. RIPLEY; there is also Rene Clement's version of the same material, PURPLE NOON (PLEIN SOLEIL). While these are not "double role" films, they do deal with the appropriation of identity.
