For a friend--can anyone identify a film or possibly a made-for-tv movie
which ends in a church during communion.  Camera tracks along past
the film's main characters, including some who are diegetically dead.

Ship-of-Fools (stagecoach, Poseidon), stranded soldiers, sailors,
tourists; apocalyptic finales (including Strangelove); final
frontiers (western, space), etc.? oh, and ivory towers and cyberspace.
