Although this does not specifically relate to film and video it does
anticipate what will happen to Public Televison with the proposed
budget cuts....

Yesterday, South Carolina Public Radio announced that it is eliminating
ALL local programing out of the capital city of Columbia (cutting 13 staff
positions) and closing the Charleston production studios (cutting 5 staff
positions).

Charleston will use production studios at a local college and will try
to continue some local programming with a volunteer staff.

All announced progamming/staff cuts were in response to budget cuts
from the SC Legislature.
