"Walkabout" is a film I remember distinctly. It was produced by a former
clothing manufacturer named Si Litvinoff (whom I knew but have lost track
of). It was written by Edward Bond and photographed and directed by Nicolas
Roeg. It was a very effective film and had a mild success here, prefiguring
the Australian film explosion. Si also produced the same year a film of John
Barth's "The End of the Road" directed by Aram Avakian and starring Stacey
Keach. To the best of my recollection "Walkabout" was distributed by 20th
Century-Fox.
