There's a wonderful experimental feature called AKRAN, by Ohio filmmaker
Richard Myers, which I first saw at a Northwestern University film society
showing in 1971.  It includes a long, bravura sequence composed of still
images--things in this hypnotic film still haunt me today, almost 30 years
later.
