Console-ing Passions: International Conference on Television, Video, Audio, New Media and Feminism

21-23 July 2011, Adelaide, South Australia, Australia

Organisers would like to announce the upcoming Console-ing Passions conference. Founded in 1989 by a group of feminist media scholars and artists, Console-ing Passions provides a forum for scholarly exchange on television, digital media, culture, and identity, with an emphasis on gender and sexuality. The 2011 conference, co-hosted by Flinders University, the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia, promises a wide range of papers with a growing concentration from scholars working with emerging issues from new media and digital games.

For more information about the conference and keynote speakers, please visit the conference website: http://www.flinders.edu.au/console-ing-passions.

On behalf of the Console-ing Passions Organising Committee

Kind regards,
Jodie
