regarding what male actors are considered the elite in hollywood or some-
thing to this effect(i've just returned from san diego)
anyway, get a hold of a copy of variety for 8/7/95 and this information
is given
also the la times for 8/7/95 had a full cover story on this as well
the top 5 who can open a film on the basis of their  of their name
alone are in order of whose first:
sean connery
tom cruise
micheal douglas
harrison ford
tom hanks
note that connery is the eldest with cruise the youngest(this excludes the fact
 that many of their films NEVER pay for themselves)
among female stars, its bullock( i wonder if she'll go the way of roberts)
                        goldberg
                        moore
                        roberts on the comeback trail
                        streisand
in the next its the like of eastwood,gibson, redford, carrey and yes, costner
note again the 65 year old eastwood in this category
so who says hollywood caters to the pubscent crowd-demographics may suggest
such but based on this information, its the likes of eastwood and connery
that propel the marketplace
note to that carrey is solely comedy and redford is primarily focusing
on an directing career
below this group depending on the film/genre etc are individuals like
sarandon, newman,pacino, pitt,washington,ryan. foster etc
