Joe Papp died last week.
 
The New York Times remembered that he had his encounter with the red-baiters
and witch-hunters of the 'fifties.  The Philadelphia Inquirer did not.  Neither
did All Things Considered in a long piece.
 
How did the story play out your way?
 
As the veterans of that era die off, it will be like it never happened.
Joe McCarthy and his heirs will have the ultimate victory.
