Not so long ago someone on this list was looking for a documentary at
least similar to this one, which is to screen soon in Los Angeles.
I've included below the description of the film, including the name of
the director and the distributor. At the very bottom is web address of
the UCLA Film & TV Archive, which is showing the film very soon--for
those of you in So Cal whose curiousity has been piqued.
Sincerely,
Edward R. O'Neill

BLUE-EYED
Directed by Bertram Verhaag
Produced by Claus Strigel
Distributed by Verleih der Filmemacher
After the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr., schoolteacher Jane
Elliott developed a classroom exercise wherein she divided students into
two groups, the brown eyes and the blue eyes, declaring the former more
intelligent and privileged. Now retired, Elliott brings the same
exercise to workplaces and civic groups to illustrate the workings of
discrimination. As the film shows, what starts as a game often turns
cruel as some participants' emotions begin to erupt with unforeseen
intensity. 35mm, 93 min.
