A still photograph plays a pivotal role, to say the least, in
Henry Hathaway's *Call Northside 777.* Indeed, as when Jimmy Stewart's
reporter character clandestinely photographs police records or when he
directs the camera angle with which a newspaper photographer shoots the
subject of one of Stewart's stories, still photography plays a role
throughout.

I have been in the scholastic profession long enough to know
that nobody enters it unless he has some very good reason
which he is anxious to conceal.
