RE: Robert Hanczor's query about researching films of French literary
greats

I tried to find films of books by French literary greats several years
ago ... it was tough, except for the obvious choices like Madame Bovary,
which has at least 3 versions I've seen (and hated, but I think it's the
book I hate).

I did a search on cd-rom, but found little on my "Cinemania `94." I
suggest putting out a request on the AATF list -- FROGPROF -- (sorry, I
can't recall the address, although I subscribe ...)

You might also want to check with the video resources at the NY Public
Library by individual title -- and also at the TV & Radio Museum.

Are you looking for any titles in particular?
