Dear colleague,

The Conference Area of the ELT online conference (supported by Queen
Margaret University College, Edinburgh, and available at
http://www.eltoc.com ) has now been extensively updated, making the
following available to registered delegates and presenters:

* 6 chat-rooms
* A web-based discussion forum with a different area for each presentation.
This allows delegates and presenters to discuss presentations before the
weekend of the conference, as well as during and after
* Placeholders for all presenters' materials, as well as materials that have
already been submitted

We are therefore one big step closer to the online conference on November 10
& 11 2001, which will allow delegates to listen to speakers and presenters
such as Prof. David Nunan, Dave Sperling, Vicki Hollett, Gavin Dudeney,
Caroline Moor, Pete Sharma and many more. Delegates will also be able to
chat to each other and the presenters, as well as engage in longer-term
discussions on the web-board.

If you have already registered for the ELToc, please feel free to visit the
Conference Area by going to http://www.eltoc.com , clicking on "Conference
Area" and entering your username and password. If you have not yet
registered you can do so at http://www.eltoc.com/registration.shtml .
Registration is GBP 55 / USD 80.

We hope you enjoy discovering the updated Conference Area, and look forward
to "meeting" you at the ELToc!

Best regards

The ELToc team
