One of the ultimate monster moms, though not violent directly, is the
Angela Lansbury character in Manchurian Candidate. See Michael
Rogin's wonderful essay "Kiss Me Deadly" on the intersections of
misogyny and anti-communism in the 1950s.

On another note, and I guess not on of Creed's catgories, but Oddly
again I haven't seen it mentioned here yet:
Heavenly Creatures

Also not in Creed's categories: female bodyguards. e.g Angela Bassett
is Strange Days or Dina Meyer (?) as Molly Millions in Johnny
Mnenomic.
