  Cal, could you go into in a little more depth the ways _Triumph of
the Will_ addresses "the Night of the Long Knives?"  I just saw
Reifenstahl's film last fall, and I am aware of the "Night" (mostly
via Visconti), but I didn't make the connection.  If a detailed
response threatens too long a post, perhaps you could suggest some
points for further study.
