Call for manuscripts for the WIDE ANGLE issue called "Movies Before
Cinema."
 
The issue will focus on precinematic entertainments and other public
presentations related to the experience of modern cinema.  They expect to
focus on the 19th century, though ms need not be confined to this period.
 
History and/or theoretical discussion of the diorama, moving panoramas,
philosophical toys, Reynaud and the Praxinoscope, Muybridge and Maray, 19th
century painting and photography, and other forms of spectacle--from any
geographic region--are welcome.
