The Department of Cinema Studies, Tisch School of the Arts, New York
University, is searching for a quest faculty member at junior rank for
the 1997-98 academic year.
 
The faculty member will teach two courses per semester on the
undergraduate and graduate levels and assist in advising students.
Salary commensurate with rank. The department has strong interest in
specialization in the history/historiography of American, European and
Asian cinema. In addition, we are interested in the theorization of new
technologies. We welcome candidates who teach through feminist, queer
theory, and multiculturalist approaches. The teaching of core
undergraduate courses is also central to this position. Please send a
letter stating your qualifications, curriculum vitae, selection of your
most representative work or publications and three letters of
