Dear Colleagues,

For the upcoming edition of the peer-reviewed journal *Short Film Studies *
(13.2)*,* in addition to the *ongoing open Call for Papers*, manuscripts
are invited that focus on the issue's *featured national cinema – shorts
from Ukraine*. The shorts may be narrative or non-narrative, fiction or
documentary, live-action, animated, or avant-garde.

The *featured short* for Issue 13.2 is *The View from Up Here* (2017), the
fascinating, award-winning short directed and written by Marco Calvani @

vimeo.com/220533282/0085c6aefe

An interview with the director will be available on the journal’s site @
www.intellectbooks.com/short-film-studies under the “Call for Papers” tab.

Please send a brief abstract of 50-to-75-words along with a brief
biographical statement to the editor @ [log in to unmask]

Deadline for full submissions: *1 May 2023*

Length of manuscripts: 1500 to 4000 words
If you'd like a pdf copy of the full Call for Papers or any additional
information about the journal or Issue 13.2, I will be happy to hear from
you.

Best wishes for a safe and happy holiday season,

Cynthia Felando

Editor, *Short Film Studies*
