A few years ago, at Pacific Film Archives in Berkeley, I saw some amazing,
early animated shorts by a director named Charlie Bowers. Since then, I
have been unable to locate his films or any information about his life.
The only other time I have encountered his work was at an exhibition at
the Museum of the Moving Image in London, but that was just a clip.
It is some of the most surreal, hilarious stuff I have ever seen on screen and
I am eager to see more. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You.
