1. Assistant Professor in French Film Studies

The Department of French and Italian at The Ohio State University is currently taking applications for a tenure-track position (Assistant Professor) in French film and film theory to begin August 2012. Additional expertise in Francophone film is desirable. Normal teaching load is four courses over two semesters (including a graduate seminar and asenior-level course in French film and film theory). Native or near-native fluency in French, a strong research agenda, and demonstrated excellence in and commitment to teaching are required. Successful candidate must have Ph.D. in hand by the time of appointment (August 2012). Initial interviews will be conducted at the MLA Convention in Seattle, WA in January 2012. An initial interview via Skype could be arranged should an invited candidate not be able to attend the convention.
