Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi invites applications for a one-year
Visiting Assistant Professor in Media Arts for the 2017-2018 academic year.
The successful candidate must be able to teach courses in media criticism
such as Media Forms (a lower-division aesthetics course for majors), New
Media and Communication (an upper-division course that examines how new
media technologies impact cultural practices and media industries), and
Film and Culture (a university core course in aesthetic and cultural
analysis). The successful candidate will also show evidence of promise for
future productivity in scholarly/creative activity in the field of media
studies.

Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi is a rapidly growing doctoral
research university with more than 12,000 students. A Hispanic-Serving
Institution on the cultural border with Latin America, TAMU-CC provides a
robust campus experience focused on student and faculty success. Located on

Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Media Studies or a related field. ABD will be considered; degree
must be conferred by August 1, 2017.

Candidates advancing to the next stage of the search will be asked to
submit evidence of teaching excellence, copies of graduate transcripts, and
three letters of recommendation at a later date.

Posting will remain up until a finalist is selected. Review of applications
will begin January 13, 2017.
