The American Film Institute is currently seeking an online media designer

Job Description
 
Position:       Online Media Designer (Online Media)
Date:             April 22, 1996
Reports To:   Director, Online Media
 
Online Media Designer needed to design media elements (typography,
graphics, animation) for the American Film Institute's WWW site, AFI
OnLine.  We are looking for a designer who is self-motivated, a
team-player, and has the ability to meet tight production deadlines. This
is an exciting opportunity to work in a lively production environment
creating dynamic online content, experimenting with new digital tools, and
actively contributing to a high-profile creative team.
 
Duties:  Design media elements (typography, graphics, animation) and
actively contribute to conceptualization and development of AFI OnLine and
other online activities.
 
Skills:  Strong graphic and/or broadcast design background.  Self-motivated
and highly creative. Proficiency on the Mac.  Working knowledge of
Photoshop, Premiere,  Director, Illustrator, and Quark is essential.  Some
knowledge of the Internet preferred. Understanding of HTML, Debabelizer,
and Shockwave desirable.
