I'm trying to compile a list of film production histories. The start is
below; does anybody have additions? Thanks, Lang

Criteria: Full-length book about a single film, preferably a contemporary
account by a participant or journalist. There's a separate section for
retrospective production histories. The focus should be on actual
production: no purely critical studies and no primarily promotional
publications.

Robert Rodriguez - Rebel Without a Crew [El Mariachi]
Jane Hamsher - Killer Instinct [Natural Born Killers]
Eleanor Coppola - Notes on the Making of Apocalypse Now
Julie Salamon - Devil's Candy [Bonfire of the Vanities]
Melville Shavelson - How to Make a Jewish Movie [Cast a Giant Shadow]
Lillian Ross - Picture [Red Badge of Courage]
Tom DiCillo - Box of moonlight; and, Notes from Overboard: a Film-maker's
Diary

retrospective

Robert Carringer - Making of Citizen Kane
Stephen Rebello - Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho
Aljean Harmetz - The Making of The Wizard of Oz
Ray Carney - Shadows
Jan Stuart - The Nashville Chronicles: The Making of Robert Altman's
Masterpiece
Matthew Field - Making of The Italian Job
