A REMINDER – TOMORROW NIGHT!

I’m writing with an invitation to join the Department of Journalism & Creative Media Industries for a conversation between video game producer/designer/writer Carmen Askerneese (Wizards of the Coast) and Dr. Bobby Schweizer (Assistant Professor, JCMI), with Q&A to follow. The event will take place Wednesday, March 31 at 5:30pm via Zoom. Please consider attending and please share among your networks.

[[log in to unmask]]Carmen Askerneese is a producer, writer, and designer of games and comics. He is also the Dungeon Master for the tabletop actual play show, Realms & Roleplay. Carmen is currently a Producer at Wizards of the Coast on Magic the Gathering, and has worked previously as a designer with Electronic Arts (EA). Carmen is also a former local chairman for BEAT Austin (TX), an employee resource group for Black game developers within EA. He holds a Master of Science in Game Development from the Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy and a BA in Electronic Media & Communication from Texas Tech University.

Dr. Bobby Schweizer is an assistant professor in the Department of Journalism & Creative Media Industries at Texas Tech University. Dr. Schweizer teaches game design and storytelling and researches the relationships between technology, play, and imagination in theme parks.
