. . .and don't you think this is a refreshing change in the depiction of the
black man via the cinema?---Great White Savior myth and all that? Can you
remember any other films (ever) that so clearly show how badly the white man
(take "man" specifically and generally) needs the black man and his ability
to look beyond as a means of survival (God knows the black man gives new
meaning to the word "survive"). . .and deduce some pretty profound info that
is useful to . . .well. . .live?
 
Thanks so much for this dialogue. . .people don't like to talk about this
stuff.
