Actually, three films have been announced:

1. ABC and Disney have purchased story rights from Nancy Kerrigan (for $1
million - the deal including provisions for other programs and endorsements
as well as the TV film). The movie is planned to air during the May sweeps.

2. Fox, and somewhat more tentatively NBC, have announced that they will
make films using public domain sources only. The Fox film will likely be
the first to air.

3. To date, all networks have stated that they will not be involved in any
project that involves the purchase of rights from Tonya Harding (a position
that echoes the stance taken in regards to Amy Fisher, though NBC's film
was, in the end, based on rights purchased from Fisher).
