    12th Annual SCS Dissertation Awards:
 
    The Dissertation Award Committee of the Society of Cinema Studies
    invited submission for its 12th annual Awards with a cash prize of
    $1,000.
 
    Candidates must be SCS members and have completed dissertation and
    got their Ph.D. degree between 10/1/93 and 9/30/94. Dissertation
    of any length deal with cinema, TV or video will be considered.
 
    Deadline is a postmark date of 10/17/94. Preliminary screening by
    12/1/94. Winners will be announced 2/1/95. the award will be
    presented at 1995 SCS Conference in New york City.
 
    Copies of dissertation send directly to each of the three judges,
    together with stamped self-address envolpes for return. Submission
