Sorry it took me so long to get to my e-mail (It's been a rough summer), but
in case someone didn't get to mentioning it, there is a book entitled :
WOMEN IN FILM: AN INTERNATIONAL GUIDE BY Annette Kuhn and Susannah Radstone
and published by Fawcett Colombine (a subsiderary of Ballentine Books). I have
the 1990 edition (which seems to be the first. It was originally prublished
in England as The Women's Companion to International Film in 1990 by Virago Pre
ss Ltd. Hope this is a help to you, and that your project succeeds... In fact
please let me know, and I'll tell our Speach, theatre & Broadcast department
about it... I know their chairman has been giving some thought to the recent
PBS series on American Film.
