The Department of Media and Film, University of Sussex, seeks outstanding
applicants for two key posts in Film Studies, one at Chair/Reader level,
and one at Senior Lecturer/Lecturer level.

We offer a stimulating, research-focused environment with a strong
commitment to delivering the highest standard of teaching and learning.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate an outstanding ability in research
and teaching appropriate to the level of appointment, and, for the
Chair/Reader post, be able to contribute to academic and research
leadership in their specialist area.

Applications from any area of Film Studies will be welcomed, but we are
particularly interested in applicants with strengths in: cinema history,
film theory, World cinemas, film and popular culture.
