Announcing the premiere issue of Link:  A Critical Journal on the Arts
in Baltimore and the World.
 
Link is published biannually in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, by the Link
editorial board.  Tropos Press acts as Link's fiscal representative.
Subscriptions are available for two issues, postage included:
$20 individual rate
$40 library and institutional rate
 
Submissions are welcome. Send SASE for return of manuscripts and writers'
guidelines. Send all correspondence to:

Link was made possible in part with funds from the Maryland Humanities
Council, through a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
Link can be purchased, as of August 1, 1996, in Baltimore at the Maryland
Institute Book Store, Atomic Books, Louie's, Lambda Bookstore, Adrian's
Books, and at Borders in Towson. The journal will be distributed to
national locations at a later date.
 
A release party will be held on Saturday, July 27 at the 14Karat Cabaret at
Maryland Art Place, 218 W. Saratoga Street in Baltimore; doors open
at 9:00 p.m. The Cabaret is featured in "Golden Gutters" an article
on the history of cabaret in Link written by Kathy O'Dell. Featured
performers include Martin Scatter Quintet, David Franks, and Lauren
Bass.  Tickets are $5 at the door and there will be a cash bar.
