Following on from 'Going Cheap?: Female Celebrity in the Tabloid,
Reality and Scandal genres', the conference hosted by the University of
East Anglia in June, we are happy to announce the publication of a special
issue of 'Genders' devoted to the conference theme. Overarching the US and
UK contexts, the issue includes analyses of female "trainwreck"
celebrities, celebrity stage mothering, Internet, gossip
blogging, paparazzi culture and the phenomenon of celebrity "upskirting",
celebrity mental illness and an analysis of "The Hills". The issue is
available at www.genders.org

With best wishes,

Diane Negra and Su Holmes
