I can't recall a film in which women actually are PHYSICAL, unless it's not
in the mainstream Hollywood popular releases. There are films such as the
rollerderby one in which women are VERY physical, but it was so upsetting
to the average audience here that it quickly disappeared. We apparently
want our women to act like ladies. You should get a big response to this
post from the women on this list who I'm sure have lots to say about
images of women in American films.....
I can't recall the name of the rollerderby film....I think it starred
Racquel Welch....
Anyone out there remember it.
Sandy
